Effective approximately April 1, 2009, Parkway Medical Group and its practitioners participate with all products of Aetna. Please contact our billing department for the exact effective date of our Aetna contract. Parkway Medical Group does not participate with any Medicare HMOs, frequently known as “Medicare Advantage."
- Blue Cross/Blue Shield of North Carolina (BCBS-NC)
Parkway Medical Group and its practitioners participate with all products of Blue Cross/Blue Shield of North Carolina. Additionally, due to BCBS-NC’s reciprocal agreements with all other BCBS insurance companies nationwide, Parkway Medical Group is considered a participating provider with out of state BCBS plans (i.e. BCBS-Federal, BCBS-SC, BCBS-TN, BCBS-VA, etc.) Parkway Medical Group does not participate with any Medicare HMOs, frequently known as “Medicare Advantage.”

Due to BCBS-NC’s reciprocal agreements with all other BCBS insurance companies nationwide, Parkway Medical Group is considered a participating provider with out of state BCBS plans (i.e. BCBS-Federal, BCBS-SC, BCBS-TN, BCBS-VA, etc.) Parkway Medical Group does not participate with any Medicare HMOs, frequently known as “Medicare Advantage.”
- Cigna
Parkway Medical Group and its practitioners participate with all products of Cigna Healthcare. If your Cigna plan is a PCP plan, then Parkway Medical Group must be the office listed on the patient’s identification card. Parkway Medical Group does not participate with any Medicare HMOs, frequently known as “Medicare Advantage.”
- Crescent (Acordia, Wells Fargo)
Parkway Medical Group and its practitioners participate with Acordia and Wells Fargo Crescent plans.
- Crescent (WellPath)
Parkway Medical Group and its practitioners participate with all Wellpath plans.
- Medcost
Parkway Medical Group and its practitioners participate with all Medcost plans.
- Medicare
Parkway Medical Group and its practitioners participate with Medicare. Parkway Medical Group does not participate with any Medicare HMOs, frequently known as “Medicare Advantage.”
- Medicare Advantage (Medicare HMO)
Parkway Medical Group does not participate with any Medicare HMOs, frequently known as “Medicare Advantage.”
- Medicare-Railroad
Parkway Medical Group and its practitioners participate with Railroad Medicare. Parkway Medical Group does not participate with any Medicare HMOs, frequently known as “Medicare Advantage.”
- Medicaid-North Carolina
Parkway Medical Group and its practitioners participate with North Carolina Medicaid, however we are not accepting new patients who have North Carolina Medicaid as their primary insurance. We do not participate with any out of state Medicaid plans.
- Medicaid Carolina Access-North Carolina
Parkway Medical Group and its practitioners participate with North Carolina Medicaid-Carolina Access, however we are not accepting new patients who have North Carolina Medicaid Carolina Access as their primary insurance. Additionally, Parkway Medical Group must be the practice listed on the patient’s identification card. We do not participate with any out of state Medicaid Carolina Access plans.
- Partners
Parkway Medical Group and its practitioners participate with all products of Partners Insurance that are affiliated to BCBS.
- Self-Pay/Private Pay
For those patients who do not have insurance, Parkway Medical Group accepts cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover at the time of service. All self-pay patients who pay the full amount due at the time of service will receive a 10% discount because of reduced billing costs associated with insurance filing.
- United Healthcare
Parkway Medical Group and its practitioners participate with all products of United Healthcare. Parkway Medical Group does not participate with any Medicare HMOs, frequently known as “Medicare Advantage.”
- Wellpath/Crescent
Parkway Medical Group and its practitioners participate with all Wellpath plans.
For all other insurances, Parkway Medical Group will perform one complimentary filing. The balance will become the patient's responsibility if not paid within 30 days.
